Zai loves culture and movie-making like no other. With her boundless energy, she is a veteran producer for numerous broadcasters including ESPN Star Sports, Discovery Channel, Arte, Channel News Asia, ARD, Ciné Cinémas and Animal Planet.
She brings a unique blend of project management and directorial skills to all her projects. Her work includes co-directing 'Gods Must Be Hungry', which achieved the highest rated programme for Discovery Asia in the last 10 years, and the 2-part mini-series 'House of Harmony' for ZDF, starring an Asian-European cast which has been aired worldwide. She has lectured in Australia, Korea and Singapore, and is a regular player at Cannes' Mipcom, Mip-TV, and its International Film Festival, as well as at Venice, Berlin, Rome, Banff, London, Bangkok, Korea, Hong Kong and other top media gatherings.
Yen loves to turn the impossible possible. She feeds on challenges, and can run on full steam overcoming one obstacle after another in a typical production cycle. She is a calm and sharp troubleshooter, and juggles numerous production seamlessly but yet still keeps her warm smile. Yen graduated from Film Production in New York University and broke the dormant feature film market with her directorial debut, "The Road Less Travelled" in 1996. Since then, she had produced and directed several feature films, telemovies and documentary. With her strong foundation and vast experience in production, Yen oversee and manages all productions at Oak 3.
Jason loves a good story. He is a seasoned television producer and director and has had his work broadcast on networks across Asia and internationally. His other experiences in the media include lecturing in a tertiary institution, mentoring and judging at various media competitions in Singapore. As the director of content, Jason has been the spearhead of the creative efforts at Oak 3 Films.
